He is hysterical. Its amazing to me how much he still angers so many people. He's been DEAD FOR OVER 20 YEARS!!!! For the ones who really FIND HIM HILARIOUS LIKE ME.... you've been to LA or NYC and actually lived around so much lunacy that you've become used to it.
But for the rest of us, like my father for example, he wanted to reach into the television screen and perform bodily harm to Kaufman. My father hated him.... at least he did then..... Now, he is older and cannot remember even who he was. But I remember at the time when he was alive and popular Kaufman had a way of bringing out the killing instinct in the most unlikely people.
and yes... i thought it was hilarious.
