This film really picks up in just about every scene. Even if you are on the verge of passing out from excessive alcohol consumption like my college buddy you will find this amusing. He managed to watch this film in its entirety with only one eye open..... and laughed whole heartedly.

Amazing.

But not nearly half as amazing as this song..... Its amazingly bad but it fits neatly into the time frame of which it came from. Sort of like the musical numbers in, "The Party" with Peter Sellers from the same period .... this music is awful.

This is great suff. This song introduces Lorenzo St. Dubois - LSD to the plot of, "The Producers". LSD wins the role of Adolf Hitler and turns the flop, "Springtime for Hitler"into a hit. His hippie sensibilities really add a jolt of promise and dispair into the role. This entire film is one of Brooks finest and reads visually like a comic strip in Mad Magazine.

THATS HOW I LIKE MY ENTERTAINERS -- WILD AND CRAZY... THAT IS,..... WILD... (YES?)..... AND INSANE......

If you are going to jump up on the stage then you better be foaming at the mouth, eyes bugged out, hyper ventilating and sweating profusely and on the verge of a nervous breakdown. I want my celebrities to be doing outrageous things, saying outlandish things, making outspoken claims and be cranked up ten decibels..... Belishi fit that criteria.

Now, all we got to work with are idiots in the entertaiment industry like Jessica Simpson, Rosie O'Donnel and Lindsey Lohen.... we truly need some decent celebrities......

Belushi wasn't Laurence Olivier and he wasn't a Nobel Peace Prize winner or a literary giant. But at least he was a slob and flaunted it. He was proud of it. We got slobs now in hollywood who try to be pious royalty.. BIG DIFFERENCE.

Its amazing how the Smiths sound have endured. But what is even more amazing is how many bands since then haven't come close to touching their raw nerve endings that they left behind. Many musical acts have skirted around the whole notion of human emotion instead of embracing it. Because of this and their unique sound The Smiths have created a time capsule for themselves in the 80's.

STILL.... I wonder if there is any point in continuing this one with Morrisseys new band? Maybe the old songs should be left behind. I am a bit divided on this one because the construction of these songs are beyond brilliant.

What is even more interesting is that the release, "Louder Than Bombs" is a collection of Singles from the early 80's. By the time that came out it was essentially old. These... then.... are old songs. But good ones.

I would dare to state that these songs are even... sacred. Even the way Morrissey looked at the time they were written really do define a period in time. I am not so sure that this entire feel still stands today. If there is some sensibility that thrives today then I am not sure it rings nearly as strong. The sentiments are alive no doubt. But these songs in particular I feel have their own time and place carved in time...... Honestly

The video came to us by someone with a video feature on their cell phone. Amazing that this song is intact and in good quality all around despite the crappy footage.

"Just When You Thinkin It's Over" is one of the glimmering gems on the Charlatans UK release. Its brilliant. Compared to a few other songs on this cd its one of the more memorable ones.

I cannot tell when this show was but for the last few years their light show has remained consistently good so who knows....

Why can't more music have more thought put into it like this today? Is that too much to ask......???? I don't want to go on ANOTHER dreary comparrison to a drollish band like Nickleback so I will save it for another time.

"CHIPS FROM THE CHOCOLATE FIREBALL" is a CD worth owning. If you can't get it anywhere you should download anything you can from the Dukes of Stratosphere. This was XTC's alter ego and for years I had no idea they even did this project. I remember this when it was on vinyl. This was also before the second album came out so this goes back a few years around the "Skylarking" album...... which is another album you should run out and get !!

Yes, it drips with Beatlemania and screams "Magical Mystery Tour" but it also screams XTC. It also is done a tad bit better than the Beatles, "MMT".... at least musically. The Beatles film was great visually from what I remember and it was handled with powerful vivid colored visuals that left a profound statement on my artistic sensibilities..... to the point where it almost defined them. And you certainly cannot say that about Nickleback.... at least, not if your speaking intelligently and coherrantly.

On Live Television.... if thats not a reason to celebraet I don't know what is.... This sound quality is terrible as it is very thin and tinny but if you can get past that and just enjoy this clip for what it is you will like it.

This is out of control entertainment and .... its from 1979. Which means that its GREAT. Its fresh from the gritty streets of apocolpytic youth culture. I like how Dave Vanian has an intro book on how to play the keyboards. Very snotty and hilarious. I've never seen someone smash up a cymbol with a snare drum.. haha... Glorious.
