Welcome to the first installment of - POUND. This is a collection of music videos and visually charged images positioned to make you stand up and take notice! With so much drivel on the airwaves Americans in general are being automatically lined up to partake in a homogenized cultural experience, (ex. no matter if you live in Nebraska, Oregon or in the bustling streets of Manhattan).
This new collection created by Ted Cantu, (FASCUBE, 911 Copywriters, co creator of the Ann Arbor Artists Co-op) is once again at it... FULL ON. The name POUND is an exact result of you putting on a pair of Doc Martens and hitting the streets and coming face to face with radical street culture, (ex. art galleries, eccentric people and especially live music).
In this age of SUV's, mortgage payments and derivative bands like the ones heard on 89.X its nice to come across something with a little more moxy. This entire project doesn't reek of the corporate dollar. Its off the beaten path and it is something that is delivered with no compromises.
It's interesting. Innovative. Fresh.
If you prefer to have your cultural experience on this Earth and lifetime dictated to you by a corporate sponsor, (see Coca Cola) then go thwack on, "AMERICAN IDOL" or "DANCING WITH THE STARS".
This is NOT for you.
